STEFFENS DEVELOPMENT is a newly founded consultancy with a focus on Strategy, Education Development – Policies, Development Finance.

We independently advise universities, educational institutions and all institutions that invest in education.

Our range of services includes all services related to the establishment and further development of universities and other educational institutions. We also advise on international projects in the fields of education and politics.

The second pillar of our services is to advice in all aspects of Finance, especially development finance, microfinance.

Dr. Heike Brost-Steffens

Co-founder and Managing Director

Dr. Heike Brost-Steffens was Vice President of the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management until 2018. In particular, she was responsible for developing the Bachelor's, Master's and MBA programs into a globally renowned program portfolio. Under her leadership, the Frankfurt School achieved the accreditation of the German Science Council (10 years), the unlimited right to award doctorates and the three most globally renowned accreditations for business universities (AACSB, AMBA and EQUIS). On the basis of a degree in economics and a doctorate in finance, she has excellent business management expertise and a background of experience in providing comprehensive advice to universities and other educational institutions.

Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Udo Steffens

Co-founder and Managing Director

Professor Udo Steffens is the founder of the Association of Private Universities (VPH, 2004). He is very familiar with the prerequisites for the successful positioning of private universities in Germany and Europe. He has been a member of the Science Council from 2017 - 2020. As a member of international accreditation committees (EFMD, AACSB) he knows the challenges of universities in Germany and worldwide. He worked at the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management from 1992 to 2018 and has been its president since 1996. Professor Steffens has in particular the ability to combine scientific excellence with economic viability.
